This winter, nanamica KOBE celebrates its 15th anniversary.
We are deeply grateful not only to all the customers who have visited over the years, but also to the serene seaside location and the unique atmosphere of the city of Kobe, which have supported us throughout this journey.
For this anniversary, nanamica KOBE is offering special store-exclusive items along with small gifts to show our gratitude. We warmly invite you to visit and celebrate with us.
The first item is a T-shirt and cap featuring artwork by CALMA by Ryo Okamoto, an artist based in Kakogawa, Hyogo, who is also active in Kobe. While drawing inspiration from the sea, the artwork reflects Kobe’s unique mix of cultures and genres, infused with the witty, relaxed spirit of nanamica KOBE. The delicate artwork has been faithfully reproduced through print and embroidery, released as limited souvenir items for the store.
The T-shirt is made from organic cotton jersey with a relaxed, oversized fit, while the cap features Nanamica’s original covering core yarn chino cloth in a six-panel construction.
The second item is the “kung-fu Jambo”, an archive model of NOWHAW’s signature “kung-fu” pajamas, reissued and specially customized for nanamica KOBE’s 15th anniversary.
It retains the signature comfort of NOWHAW — an oversized silhouette that allows easy movement while sleeping, and large, functional pockets. Inspired by Kobe’s port-town spirit and its blend of diverse cultures, the piping has been updated to navy for a unified monotone finish. On the inside of the collar, a subtle embroidered “謝” (gratitude) mark has been added as a special detail to express our heartfelt thanks.

The third item is a macramé bag made from upcycled fabric waste sourced from cut-and-sew factories in India. Designed in colors and details inspired by the image of nanamica KOBE, the bag features a leather-finished name tag. Handcrafted under the philosophy of PROJECT1000, which supports employment opportunities for women in rural India, each piece carries a warm, handmade character.
The strap is made from handwoven paracord produced in Japan. It’s adjustable in length and designed for versatility — it can also be used on its own as a belt or wallet cord.
Customers who make a purchase will receive a complimentary craft beer from IN THA DOOR BREWIN, a local brewery based in Kobe.
Brewed near the sea, this local beer perfectly complements the atmosphere of nanamica KOBE — an ideal companion for a quiet break during your travels or a relaxed moment in your everyday life.
