Brushed Weather Stroll Field Jacket 49,500(tax included) / N25FA040 >>>

As the heat of the day gives way to the pleasant breeze of morning and evening, there’s a growing sense of autumn in the air — and with it, rising anticipation for new outerwear. A field jacket made from a high-density original weather cloth is now being released.

When it comes to weather cloth, the brand’s signature material is the 65/35 Bayhead Cloth — but this time, a new fabric has been developed with a fresh approach. While Bayhead Cloth is woven with a blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester for both warp and weft, this new high-density weather cloth uses organic cotton for the warp and recycled nylon for the weft. The difference in yarn density between the vertical and horizontal threads creates a subtle variation in texture between the fabric’s front and back. Additionally, a light brushing process has been applied to the surface of this firm, structured fabric, giving it a soft, smooth finish despite its high density.

Based on a military-style fatigue jacket, this piece blends in detail from THE NORTH FACE’s iconic Grizzly Peak Jacket. The three-dimensional gusseted multi-pockets and the distinctive slanted chest pocket on the left stand out as key features.

The front is finished with dot buttons for a lightweight, easy-to-throw-on feel —much like a coach’s jacket. It’s a single-layer construction, perfect for tossing on over a T-shirt. True to the name “Weather Cloth,” this jacket is built to handle unpredictable urban weather, including sudden rain.

Key design points include the articulated shoulder seams and forward-angled sleeves, both crafted to create a three-dimensional silhouette when worn. But the standout detail is the webbing belt at the waist. While traditional military garments use button adjusters, this piece updates the concept by drawing inspiration from the brand’s signature webbing belts. By cinching the waist tightly, the jacket creates a defined, shaped silhouette with a strong sense of structure.

Designed with dropped shoulders and a broad shoulder width, this outerwear piece features a generously cut, oversized silhouette that allows for relaxed, effortless wear. The color palette—Asphalt Gray, a signature of the brand, and Black—eschews the rugged, earthy feel often associated with military garments in favor of a more urban, contemporary tone. Subtle yet noteworthy is the tonal embroidered graphic on the back, a new addition this season from THE NORTH FACE Berkeley line.

This season’s outerwear from the “Stroll” series—named after the idea of walking freely and aimlessly—features multi-functional front pockets for excellent storage and a webbing belt detail on the back to adjust the silhouette. When paired with the matching parachute pants made from the same fabric and equipped with multi-pockets, it creates a set-up with outstanding utility.

As the heat begins to ease, you may find you no longer need a bag—this set is perfect for city strolls or nature walks. Be sure to try on the new outerwear in-store.
