From the new seasonal collection by THE NORTH FACE Purple Label comes a release of items made with high-performance PERTEX® fabric. Highlighted is the redesigned Mountain Wind Vest, updated from the previous season.
This season actively incorporates performance fabrics like GORE-TEX to update foundational pieces in the collection.
The vest, ideal for layering, can be worn across multiple seasons. As a lightweight outerwear staple, this Field Vest is made from recycled nylon taffeta using PERTEX® UNLIMITED.
The lightweight yet soft-textured fabric is a trusted material in outdoor fields.
Water-repellent, it offers the ideal functionality for outdoor wear designed for urban environments.
The slightly shallow stand collar and the front pocket design are key features. The front incorporates slanted pocket details and flap pockets from THE NORTH FACE’s Mountain Parka archives, combining functional materials with a classic mood. The pattern-making is also carefully considered so that the shoulder line forms a natural curve when worn.
The front zipper uses a double-zip design for easy on and off. This convenient feature is ideal for vests intended to be layered over T-shirts or cut-and-sew tops. The hem includes an adjustable drawcord, allowing you to cinch it tightly for a sharper silhouette. Tonal embroidery of the PERTEX® UNLIMITED logo is placed at the back hem.
The inner left and right sides feature pockets for storing small items, giving this outerwear more storage capacity than meets the eye. Parts of the lining are made with COOLMAX® mesh, helping to reduce stuffiness during peak summer and keeping the interior environment comfortable even when sweating heavily.
The seasonal color brown evokes the rich tones of woodland scenery. It joins the lineup alongside the brand’s signature Asphalt Gray and Black, making up a three-color offering.
At the start of the season, this vest can be worn as a lightweight outer layer to protect against wind and rain. As the season progresses, it functions as a mid-layer to help maintain a comfortable internal temperature, making it a versatile piece for long term wear across multiple conditions.
