PROGRESS RUNNING CLUB | Nylon Short Pants


もともと波乗りとボルダリングをやっていたから、
ショーツはずっとデフォルト。

グルカやサーフ、リーバイスのカットオフにミリタリー。
その時代ごとに、いろんなショーツを穿いてきた。

今回手に入れたのは、
UK発の「PROGRESS RUNNING CLUB」。

UKのスポーツブランドって、
フレッドペリーとかロンズデールやジムフレックスとか、
カルチャーとちゃんと繋がっているものが多くていい。
少しだけ暗さがあって、でも前向き。
あのバランスが好き。

90年代のランニングカルチャーを感じるプロダクトで、
色と素材感も、ちょうどツボ。

こんな少しどんよりした日には、
アルファドライのジャケットくらいがちょうどいい。
そこにこのオレンジ。

ズッキーニがいい感じだったから、
今日はパスタでも。

食べたら、
久しぶりに少し走ってみようかなと思う。

I used to surf and do bouldering, so shorts have always been my default.

From Gurkha shorts and surf styles to cut-off Levi’s and military pairs,
I’ve worn all kinds of shorts through different periods of my life.

This time, I picked up something from the UK-based brand
“PROGRESS RUNNING CLUB.”

UK sports brands — like Fred Perry, Lonsdale, and Gymphlex — often feel properly connected to culture.
There’s a slight darkness to them, but still something positive underneath.
I’ve always liked that balance.

These pieces have that unmistakable 90s running culture feel,
and the colors and texture are exactly my kind of thing.

On slightly gloomy days like this,
an ALPHADRY jacket feels just right.
And then there’s this orange.

The zucchini looked especially good today,
so maybe I’ll make some pasta.

And after I eat,
I might go for a run for the first time in a while.
