From THE NORTH FACE Purple Label, a reversible outerwear named "Double-built" has been released, drawing attention.
This season, the key factor for the outerwear designed for the significant temperature difference between mornings and evenings in early spring is versatility. The goal was to offer more options that can be adapted to changing temperatures and personal style.
The fabric used features a two-tone polyester taffeta weave, with different colors on the front and back, allowing the item to be worn on both sides.
The taffeta fabric, treated with a shape-memory process to maintain natural creases, has a moderate stiffness that creates a three-dimensional form when worn. The key feature is the use of chain stitch seams, which encourage puckering and leave the chain stitch on the reverse side, enhancing the natural texture.
The fabric is the perfect thickness for layering with sweatshirts or lightweight T-shirts during the peak of spring, providing just the right amount of weight for comfortable wear.
The design retains the details of a flight jacket while being created as a light outerwear piece that’s easy to wear during transitional seasons. Instead of a ribbed collar, it’s designed with a shallow V-neck to maintain a lighter feel, ensuring easy layering without making the outfit heavy. The shoulder seams are designed to allow for movement, and the shoulder darts create a slight puckering effect, giving the jacket a forward-angled sleeve.
The front features a double zipper for easy on-and-off. The cuffs and hem are made with a single-layer ribbing, designed to feel soft on the skin and offer a lightweight wearing experience when slipping the sleeves on.
The three-color palette is fully reversible. The outdoor basic colors—beige, navy, and black—are on the front, while the reverse side incorporates spring-inspired lighter colors such as yellow, green, and asphalt gray in combination, catering to a desire for slightly brighter tones for the season.
The front features a color-matched 25mm THE NORTH FACE logo embroidery, while the reverse side is adorned with the iconic THE NORTH FACE Purple Label brand label. The purple brand label is placed inside the pocket, and the design emphasizes the reversible wear.
