Nanamica is releasing a limited-edition collection in collaboration with BATONER, a knitwear brand crafted by Okuyama Meriyasu, a knit factory based in Sagae City, Yamagata prefecture.This collection fuses the functional and artisanal elements of both brands by incorporating aspects of each into their standard items.

The down cardigan and down muffler are produced by nanamica using outer fabrics commissioned to BATONER, which specializes in knitting the material. By combining the softness of knits with nanamica’s standard cardigan and muffler, these items are finished with a sense of warmth and comfort.

BATONER’s smooth wool crewneck features nanamica’s standard striped jersey pitch, reflecting the shared value of both brands: creating items that can be passed down to the next generation.The brand tag used in this collaboration features a design inspired by nanamica’s concept of the sea and the iconic mountains of Yamagata Prefecture, where Okuyama Meriyasu is based.

Nanamica’s standard down cardigan, inspired by the British Army’s quilted liners, features outer fabric production commissioned to BATONER. It uses yarn made from recycled polyester treated with non-fluorinated durable water-repellent processing, with a quilted diamond pattern expressed through the knit. High-performance KODENSHI® down, which reflects far-infrared radiation emitted by the body to enhance heat retention, is also used.

The smooth wool crewneck, a standard BATONER item, is knitted with nanamica’s striped pitch. Crafted slowly and carefully using a rare high-gauge knitting machine, the smooth fabric features a dense structure that fills in the gaps of the stitches, resulting in a soft and smooth feel against the skin.

The production of the outer fabric for nanamica’s standard down muffler is commissioned to BATONER.
