Continuing from the previous season, THE NORTH FACE Purple Label’s 2025 Spring & Summer season focuses on the concept of "urban outdoor wear," proposing a lifestyle that embraces nature within city living. The collection’s theme remains "The Mountain Ivy."
This collection updates THE NORTH FACE’s masterpieces that have been created with the changing times as street wear. The styling theme is urban heavy duty Ivy style with a mix of American culture and Ivy style.
Under the slogan UR“FUN” OUTDOOR LIFE (URBAN OUTDOOR LIFE + FUN ), the brand will provide support for everyday living through three categories.
This season’s color palette is based on the brand’s signature asphalt gray. The initial lineup features classic outdoor colors such as sax blue and sage green, evoking the breath of spring.
As the season progresses, colors inspired by the natural scenery of spring, such as pink ginger and cedar, add pleasant accents to the collection. Please also take note of the purple colors sprinkled throughout, which serve as key points.
Category1. ASPHALT & GREEN RECORD
This is a category of wear that supports a lifestyle centered around enjoying and recording nature in everyday life. It features items with strong messaging and designs layered with the nostalgic feeling of old-fashioned America.
As the season begins with lingering cold, the main features are an original slub denim with recycled polyester core covered in cotton and a cotton-recycled nylon indigo weather fabric. These items are paired with product-dyed cut-and-sew pieces characterized by nuanced colors that give the impression of being well-worn.

Category2. TRIP IN THE WIND
This is the category of wear that supports comfortable travel styles, making transportation and long journeys more comfortable. It includes lightweight and compact garments that can adapt to sudden changes in weather conditions, as well as utility items that are convenient to bring along on travels.
This season’s highlight is the renewed Mountain Wind Coat. This category’s signature material is an original ripstop made with recycled polyester for the warp and a blended yarn of recycled polyester and polyester wool for the weft. The coat, characterized by its A-line silhouette with a slightly wider hem, features minimal exterior design with internal organizer pockets for storing various small items during travel. This piece combines a relaxed form with high storage capacity. It is treated with PFC-free water repellency to address sudden weather changes during travel.
The Field Pack series, including staple items like two-pack socks and tubular T-shirts, introduces a new purple color. This accent color, reminiscent of the brand’s image, will serve as a coordinating highlight.

Category3. PURPLE BASE
The foundation of THE NORTH FACE Purple Label, the PURPLE BASE, is seasonless and ageless. It features neutral designs made from environmentally conscious materials, functional patterns, and durable, meticulously crafted sewing. These clothes are comfortable to wear anytime by anyone. Focusing on the brand’s asphalt gray color, we propose an expansion into sage green for shirts, cut-and-sew items, and bottoms.
New signature items in this category include waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX fabrics. These items use a non-fluorinated waterproof and breathable membrane and a two-layer ePE GORE-TEX fabric, with the outer material being 70D recycled nylon poplin, resulting in items with high waterproof and breathability and an urban mood. The collection blends details from military-derived items with iconic pieces from THE NORTH FACE, such as the Grizzly Peak Jacket and Mountain Jacket. We are releasing two types: a field coat with a beautiful A-line silhouette and a field jacket featuring front pocket details and a rounded shoulder line when worn. Please check out these items that symbolize a collection made with environmentally conscious functional materials.

The cover art is drawn by the artist m2n, as artist from FFFES（For, Feel, Find Endangered Species）collection 2025 spring and summer. The motif of the cover art is "earth", expressed in a modern grayscale with a relaxed touch. He added high expectations to the beginning of the brand’s new season.
For the 2025 Spring & Summer season, we are designing the collection so urban dwellers can enjoy fashion that satisfies their emotions while adapting to dramatic natural environmental changes. The rapidly changing temperatures of the spring and summer seasons require adaptation to various weather conditions. We cannot ignore the changes that the planet, as a large living entity, undergoes, such as rising average temperatures, sudden downpours, and heatwave phenomena. We are increasing the number of functional items that adapt to urban environmental changes and items that support activities that enjoy nature, while updating the materials and designs of versatile cut-and-sew pieces. The color palette, which incorporates indigo blue and garment-dyed nuanced colors that appear to have been worn over time within the urban asphalt gray, will be a fresh proposal in the street scene that embraces the flow of tech-nostalgia.
We aim to capture the atmosphere of 90s to early 2000s America, which resonates with the contemporary trend of returning to nature, allowing urbanites to enjoy outdoor-inspired wear alongside their city lifestyle. We hope our collection will evoke the feeling of freedom amidst the urban landscape.
