This autumn, Nanamica launches the 3rd limited edition collaboration model from THE NORTH FACE Purple Label partnering with Dr. Martens.

For this collaboration, we designed a water-resistant version of Dr. Martens’ classic 6-eyelet 101 boots, using waterproof molded base with excellent water-resistance. Based on the waterproof base and air cushioned sole 101 Sub Boot, the design reflects the theme of THE NORTH FACE Purple Label’s “Asphalt & Green Record” (enjoying and recording the nature close to everyday life). 

The upper uses nubuck leather with a water-resistant finish for a soft feel. The combination of asphalt grey, which is THE NORTH FACE Purple Label’s brand color, and the original black color of the Sub Boots’ molded base creates a monotone look, accented by purple for the shoelaces and Dr. Martens’ iconic heel loops. The D-ring and eyelet, which give the boots a mountain-boot feel, along with the padded collar, ensure comfort and ankle support. The upper also features the THE NORTH FACE Purple Label logo debossed. The shoes come with a double-branded hang tag, an asphalt grey shoe bag, and are delivered in a special collaboration shoe box.
This pair combines the identity of Dr. Martens, loved by diverse people as an icon of subculture, with mountain-boot detailing and waterproof functionality, offering a look that is fresh even in today’s minimalist street scene.

THE NORTH FACE Purple Label × Dr. Martens collaboration item will be released for sale only in Japan, starting 2024 Oct 18 (Fri), at nanamica stores, nanamica ONLINE STORE, and THE NORTH FACE stores below, and Dr. Martens official ONLINE STORE, Dr. Martens SHOWROOM TYO.
