Keeping in mind lightweight outerwear for travel, the material and design have been updated from the polyester wool ripstop released until last season to polyester taffeta, which features an elegant gloss and supple texture.
The recycled polyester taffeta, woven with high density, adds functionality with PFC-free water-repellent processing that doesn’t use environmentally harmful fluorinated compounds. The fabric has become softer, making it more comfortable to wear and easier to throw over cut-and-sew or T-shirts. The high portability, allowing it to be compactly folded, is also attractive.
The large front pockets follow the pocket design of the Mountain Parka, a masterpiece of THE NORTH FACE Purple Label. The pockets are spacious with excellent storage capacity, and the right pocket is equipped with a mobile pocket that can store smartphones and other items.
To cope with sudden rain during trips, the hood is equipped with cord stoppers that allow adjustment to fit around the face. The upper part can be fastened with THE NORTH FACE logo dot buttons, ensuring the hood can be worn securely. The front features a two-way zipper, designed for temperature regulation inside the garment and easy access around the hem.
In addition to the yoke sleeves that expand the range of motion around the shoulders, the three-dimensional sleeve design with tucks supports active movement. Although it has an oversized silhouette with plenty of room around the body, cinching the hem for a layered look is currently in style. The purple name label on the left sleeve serves as a design accent.
In addition to the military colors of olive and orange, four colors including the dark midnight navy and classic black have been released. As a new standard lightweight outerwear, it forms a quartet that enhances the mood of travel.
