Nanamica will be hosting a limited-time pop-up event featuring FREDDY LECK, a brand that specializes in laundry detergents and clothing care products “A positive mindset and lifestyle starting from laundry”, at nanamica MOUNTAIN in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

Nanamica aims to create items that pursue functionality and kindness to environment in the scenes of everyday life, with designs that are simple, slightly clever, and set apart from trends. The goal is to create garments that fulfill one’s own feelings and are loved and used for a long time through self-care.

With this in mind, teaming up with FREDDY LECK, which offers a range of products including biodegradable and ocean-friendly laundry detergents, specialized detergents for items like denim and GORE-TEX products, and gentle care goods for delicate garments like knits, has come to fruition.

Under the supervision of FREDDY LECK, a specialist in clothing care, the theme "Do GOOD for your Clothes!" is proposed to encourage a lifestyle of cherishing favorite clothes and wearing them for a long time. Items such as specialized detergents tailored to each garment, natural stain removal soap, and tools like clothes brushes are provided to assist in clothing care and maintenance.

Starting from everyday laundry scenes and considering clothing care, the aim is to foster a mindset of valuing and cherishing clothes for a long time, as well as to encourage thinking about the natural environment not only for oneself but also for others.

FREDDY LECK began in Moabit, a town bordered by canals in northern Berlin. The owner, Freddy Leck, studied theater as a young man and had a keen interest in self-expression. FREDDY LECK sein WASCHSALON started from contradictions he found in laundromats, namely that they were not clean enough, despite the fact these places were designed to clean clothes. In 2010, the company began selling laundry goods in Japan and has developed several items fitted to the Japanese lifestyle.

FREDDY LECK sein WASCHSALON TOKYO, the flagship store along Meguro Street at Gakugei Daigaku Station in Tokyo, was born from Freddy’s desire to "make the time spent doing laundry more enjoyable," and is a laundromat and cafe in one. It is a place where people from all walks of life can gather and interact.

During the popup event, FREDDY LECK laundry specialists will be invited to the store for a limited time to introduce care methods tailored to nanamica and THE NORTH FACE Purple Label items. You’ll receive tips on simple care methods for everyday life and the enjoyment of continued use. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity and ask for advice in-store.

Additionally, to coincide with this popup, nanamica will be selling original laundry bags made from upcycled fabric leftover from the production process. These bags are designed with a large capacity using 75D CORDURA® Ripstop Nylon and feature a drawstring closure to conceal the bag contents and gusset for added space.
