The Synthetic Leather Mountain Parka , same old scenery

A free-spirited drifter working at his own pace in an antique shop on the outskirts of town. Rubbing his heavy eyelids, he throws his usual Mountain Parka over his usual jeans and climbs into his small pickup truck.

Once at the shop, he starts by rolling up the shutter. He casually arranges a few newly arrived dog figurines. For someone who collects unusual things, his days are surprisingly ordinary. His usual jacket is based on THE NORTH FACE’s 65/35 Mountain Parka from the 1970s, with the materials and details updated for today and the design reworked into an oversized silhouette. Its roots are in outdoor wear, but its understated look blends naturally into everyday life.

The outer fabric, reminiscent of smooth, high-quality suede, is made from Ultrasuede® synthetic leather. It has the refined look of genuine leather, yet is easy enough to care for that even if it gets dusty, it can simply be hand-washed at home. The lining is made from an original heather gray cotton and recycled polyester fabric, keeping it dry and comfortable even when you sweat. The subtle sheen of the outer fabric contrasts with the rustic texture of the heather gray lining, giving it a distinctly modern feel. Combining a strong sense of style with the versatility to be worn without fuss, it’s the kind of piece he naturally reaches for again and again.

With the shop ready for the day, he wanders around town until opening time. The four flap pockets on the front are handy for carrying everything from essentials like his keys and phone to whatever book he happens to be reading, and at some point, he stopped carrying a bag altogether. For someone who doesn’t want to be tied down and likes to travel light, clothes with this much freedom and storage are just right.
