nanamica × Mēdeia1.0 Launch Limited Edition

Nanamica will release a collaboration collection with Mēdeia1.0 starting Saturday, May 23. The project works with artists in Japan and abroad to communicate global events and social issues through the perspectives of fashion and art.

Mēdeia2.0, an offshoot of Mēdeia1.0 that publishes irregular editions, will release "Issue 06", a curated publication featuring “Plastics,” a series by postwar Japanese photography pioneer Shomei Tomatsu, capturing marine debris along the Kujukuri coastline. This collaboration draws on works by Shomei Tomatsu featured in "Issue 06", alongside nanamica’s slogan “One Ocean, All Lands,” expressing the idea that the ocean is one and the world is connected. The collection includes T-shirts and tote bags. This marks the first time Tomatsu’s work has been translated into apparel products. Through these pieces, the collaboration delivers a message addressing the growing issue of marine pollution from the perspective of fashion.
