This GORE-TEX piece, released last season as a signature item of the collection, returns for the 2025 Fall & Winter season with an updated Field Coat design.
This season also features an updated Field Coat made with waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX fabric. It uses a two-layer ePE GORE-TEX construction, combining a non-fluorinated waterproof-breathable membrane with a water-repellent finish. The outer shell is crafted from lightweight recycled nylon poplin, offering both high performance in wet conditions and an urban, refined look.
The outer shell is made from a matte-finish 70 Denier recycled nylon poplin that suppresses shine. As with the previous season, the fabric features an ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane, which excludes PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) due to environmental and health concerns — making it a functional material with a focus on sustainability.
While based on a military-origin garment, the piece has evolved from last season’s stand collar design into a hooded version. This update enhances protection for the head and body, aligning with the performance needs of outdoor wear.
A panel of signature purple fabric at the back yoke visually nods to the brand identity, with the brand logo and GORE-TEX product label neatly placed on top.
The key update this season is the hood, which uses a three-dimensional mountain parka pattern that fully covers the head. Adjustable drawcords on both sides allow for a customized fit. The slanted chest pocket and front placket details are inspired by THE NORTH FACE’s iconic Grizzly Peak Jacket.
Since waterproof performance is essential in garments made with GORE-TEX fabric, subtle design adjustments have been made—like slightly shifting the shoulder seam toward the back to minimize exposure and improve protection.
The lining is made from a lightweight 20 Denier recycled nylon ripstop, offering a smooth feel against the skin. Even during the lingering late-summer heat, it layers comfortably over short sleeve tops without compromising ease of wear.
Don’t overlook the military-inspired detailing. The distinctive forward-swept sleeves are designed to support natural arm movements — whether grabbing, pushing, or gripping. At the hem, a fishtail design allows you to adjust the length with snap buttons for a more compact silhouette.
The envelope-style flap pockets are attached together with the pocket mouth to help prevent water intrusion. They’re also thoughtfully constructed to keep items secure. Inside, you’ll find a hidden drawcord at the waist for adjustable shaping.
Designed with dropped shoulders that create a rounded shape at the top and a wide hem for a graceful A-line silhouette, this piece forms a beautifully structured silhouette — perfectly embodying the idea of “outdoor wear made for the city.”
Alongside the signature Asphalt Gray, this season introduces a timeless new option: classic Black.
This coat combines trusted performance in outdoor settings with environmentally conscious technical materials, making it ideal for the rapidly shifting weather conditions and sudden downpours that characterize urban life today. When layered with an inner down jacket, it transforms into a highly protective winter coat.
