ASPHALT & GREEN RECORD vol.4 "Anorak Parka and a 16km City Hike."

We meet up in Shinjuku, and first, we fuel up at "Ramen Nagi." After finishing the soup too, we’re ready to go, and our relaxed and free 16km city hike begins.

Today’s companion is a lightweight anorak parka made from nylon ripstop fabric. The key styling point is to cinch the drawcord tight and let the same-color shirt peek out from underneath. When it gets hot, you can roll it up and tuck it into your pocket. It’s light, practical, and makes walking even more fun.

After taking a break at the Imperial Palace, we head to "Gransta Tokyo." Unable to resist, we end up buying a whole box of crepes, and then set off on the second half of our hike.

We pass through Asakusa and walk along the breezy Sumida River. Crossing over Yotsugi Bridge... finally, we see the noren curtain of "Uchida"! Even the time spent waiting in line, thinking about what to order, feels precious after coming all this way. The reward of grilled motsu skewers was deeply satisfying, as if the delicious taste spread through my body.
Taking detours is fine, and there’s no need to arrive on time. This is how I enjoy city hiking in my own way.
