ASPHALT & GREEN RECORD vol.3 "A day when you become just a little more grown-up in a herringbone set-up."
It’s an ordinary day, but today feels just a bit different. Without a doubt, it’s thanks to this jacket.
Pairing it with pants made from the same polyester herringbone fabric, I decide to go with a set-up. This is my version of dressing up for a “proper day.” It may seem like a solid color at first glance, but the faint herringbone pattern that subtly shows through is just the right touch. Above all, I love how light it feels. If I put on my white sneakers, I just want to wander the streets. Suddenly, I become aware of my hair, and so I stop by the local barber to tidy it up. When I leave, I feel a bit taller and more composed.
In the Hatagaya shopping street, there’s a standing bar called ’Kitchen Kanejo’. It’s been on my mind for a while, but I always hesitated to go in. But today, for some reason, I feel a surge of courage and think I might enjoy it. I open the door and take the first step toward adulthood. I have a glass of sweet potato shochu as it’s recommended to me. As I sip it, the tension in my shoulders begins to ease.
Ah, I want to wear this every day, tomorrow and the day after. The spring breeze gently made me feel a little more grown-up.
